It seems to me that there is little else that Israel can do but fight Hezbollah and Hamas with unrestricted arms. How do you deal with organizations whose only purpose is to kill your people and destroy you. There can be no compromise with people like that. The terrorists don't want a homeland (they could have had that long ago), they don't want to live in peace (Israel would do nearly anything to achieve that), what they want is for Israel to be wiped off the map, and for all of her people to be destroyed. These are not the kind of people that you can reason with. How do you negotiate with people that only want one thing, you either give it to them, or you don't. Giving in to them is out of them question, so that only leave one result, you must fight them. In the past there have been "compromises" between Israel and the terrorists, but all these truly were, were the delaying of the terrorists next attack, because there will always be a next attack. The only way for Israel to achieve a relative lasting peace is through the complete destruction of Hezbollah and Hamas, there can be no compromise, and there can be no other course of action, therefore there is little else that Israel can do.
