Religion of Conquest

While there may be hundreds of millions of peaceful Muslims in the world, the fact remains that Islam is and always has been a religion of conquest. From Muhammad's first setting out from Medina to conquer Mecca to the present day, Islam has always sought to subjugate the infidels. This passion continues to this day, and if you can't conquer or convert them, the next best thing is to kill them. The history books are full of examples of Muslim conquests, from Muhammad's conquest of the Arabian Peninsula by his death in 632, to the battle of Yarmuk in 636 that led to the conquest of Egypt and Syria. When Muhammad bin Quasim conquered Sindh in the early 8th century, the conquest of the Indian subcontinent began reaching its peak in 1526 when it ruled almost the entire region. The conquest of Constantinople in 1453 brought an end to the Byzantine Empire at the hands of the Muslim Turks. They laid siege to Vienna in 1529, and attempted to conquer it again in 1683.

For people who say that the Muslims have not contributed anything to science, mathematics, art and architecture, they are simply ignorant. The issue is that Muslims have made very little contribution in the past 800 years, because their still living 800 years ago. They have the mental state of a person living in 1200, not 2006, and it is stagnating them and not allowing them to progress as a people that see the world as one that no longer lives in the 13th century and no longer lives by 13th century rules.

Just Think for a Minute

Many people are talking about how they are dis-satisfied with the Republicans and the way they are running the government.  The Democrats are relying on this  for the upcoming elections.  They believe that if people are unhappy with Republicans, they must be happy with Democrats.  I ask people to just think about a couple of things: do you even know what the Democrats would do different, and are you mad at Republicans because you don't like what they stand for, or because you don't think they are following what they say they stand for.  I am as mad at the Republican Congress and the Republican Administration as anybody, but I am mad at them because they have become too much like the Democrats, the last thing I want to do is put actual Democrats in charge.  The answer is not to kick the Republicans out and give control to the Democrats, the answer is to make the Republicans accountable.  We stand a chance of moving the Republican Party back to the party of fiscal responsibility, low taxes, family values and strong national defense.  Do you really think you can accomplish that with the Democrats.  There are any number of ways that people can show their dis-satisfaction with the Republicans currently in power, but I believe the worst among them is to cast a protest vote in November.  If you really want to change things, vote in the primary for the candidate that holds your beliefs, write your representatives in Congress to voice your opinion, start a blog on Townhall to voice your opinion to everybody, but please, please do not think that the answer to your problems is to put the Democrats in control of Congress.
